The ASA comes out of the box with a default configuration of nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0. In most cases the nat (inside) 1 192.168.18.0 255.255.255.0 command replaced the default configuration. I did not beleive that it would cause a conflict, but learn something new every day.
